what do you call a person rushing home so
that the bag he's carrying doesn't get wet...
people who fall asleep once they get a seat in the train...

heard a father telling his 9 year old that he thinks its

they call themselves many names.
larger than life.
plus size.
sexy.
etc.
well, i'm not good in describing people,
so, to me, fat... is fat.
plain and simple.
but there are different genres of fat people.
the ones who are funny
cos that's the only way anyone would listen to them.
the ones who are bitchy
cos that's the only way anyone would talk back to them.
the ones who are mean
cos that's the only way they feel better about themselves.
the ones who are loud
cos that's the only way anyone will look at them.
the ones who are rich
cos they think they are better than everyone else.
of course there are those who are nothing like the ones i mentioned!
have u met my family and friends?

what happens when you are not the right size?
i had a challenge thrown to me recently,
to dress a Host for a new show.
seriously how tough can it be, right?
TOUGH!
when the Host is waist 38'' and wears XL.
did you know that many brands & boutiques are not
interested in sponsoring fat tv people
or dressing tv people that will make the outfits look fat.
you see, the TV does add pounds on you.
so to start with,
you have to be kinda skinny or slim if you wanna be on TV.
Mm... look at...
Patricia Mok, not Fann Wong,
Jeanette Aw, not Irene Ang,
Denise Keller, not Moses Lim.
they are all stick skinny!
and if you are really fat, then you can only do comedy.
everything that comes out of your mouth would sound funny!
don't believe me, try this.
ask almost any fat person to read the dictionary,
you'd think they're reading the BRIDGET JONES DIARY!
so think before you start piling on the pounds if you're going to be on TV...
moral of this story is,

wow wow world
is the wow wow world of fashion all like that?
i caught The Devil wears PRADA on tv recently.
if you asked me, its an almost Bollywood movie!
it has the boy & girl bits,
the over the top drama,
girls running everywhere,
and of course, the villain.
but seriously, is the fashion industry really like that we see on the small or big screen?
Mm. lets see...
if you don't have style or think you do, then you are out.
when it comes to fashion, you don't think. you KNOW.
never say no to a stylist,
they can end your career.
you really have to crawl your way up.
sleeping around is not an option.
mingling is good.
pretentious PR is bad.
wearing black is always fashionable.
wearing black everyday looks uniformed.
stop doing favors.
they don't pay your bills.
remember everyone you meet.
they are the ones who will lead the way for you.
fashion is not free,
but you can always get Media Discounts!
stop kissing ass.
your lips are not big enough.
decide if you are the villain or the hero
and stick to it!
and it helps to be good looking.
cos it helps you get a job elsewhere if all else fails.

the ones who buy expensive key-chains & keep them in ziplock bags.
the ones who spend more time in the changing room compared to working out.
the ones who must sample every flavor of ice-creams before buying.
the ones who dump their work load on their colleagues cos its 5:51pm.
the ones who always ask for discounts at branded boutiques.
the ones who buy new luggage & cleans the wheels with wet wipes after every use.
the ones who are really bad in faking good PR.
the ones who drink bourbon with diet coke.
the ones who look busy when the bill comes.
the ones who are from china.
etc.

well, when they actually fall in place!
i just got my final project for this year, HP Space!
yes!! its the project that i wanted to be part of.
the new creativity based reality show on Channel V.
filming starts next week and airs almost immediately.
what am i doing on the show?
i will be styling and doing makeup for the 2 hosts so its gonna be fun!
and SuperModel Me airs on the AXN channel on 7th Nov!
so far i have worked on SCORE Season 1 & 2 for OKTO Channel,
styled season 2 of BEAUTY DESIRES for Channel 8,
did various projects with Channel V Asia and Australia,
traveled to Malaysia for Disney's High School Musical 3 Promo,
worked with Li TV, a brand new regional Channel,
was involved on SuperModel Me
and now HP Space.
Mm... i wanna do more.

there's a crazy rumor going around that
drinking too much coke light makes you stupid.
like what?!
seriously!?!
OMG!!!
drinking coke light would make you dah?!?!!
if anything, i think it should make one slimmer.
YAH!
then one can become... a model!
wouldn't that be great!
start a career by just drinking coke light!
but if that was the case,
would that explain why they say that models are dumb?
Mm... i, for one, don't totally agree or disagree with that.
i've had my fair share of experiences and encounters in this area.
you ask a model what shows
she has done during her last 3 months here
and she answers, "fashion shows."
so... maybe its true?
who knows...
maybe coke light and models may not be the right mix...
thankfully, i only drink coke zero.

its just amazing how things just work out!

like, its starts out like crap.
feels like its not your day and nothing is going your way?
you start questioning almost everything. like,
if you made the right choice taking up the project?
do the clothes work?
is too much really is too much?
am i watching too much TV?
then like out of nowhere...
it hits you!
we all have to make choices.
it doesn't mean you don't have a choice.
you do. we do. I DO.
its the choice of what i want at that moment,
and making the best of it!
so what if i'm watching too much TV or
worried if the clients like the wardrobe or if too much is too much?
or even if THIS is the right project?
don't second doubt yourself.
and don't discount yourself!
there's a reason why you are where you are.
remember who u are.

1 diva
i finally did my first overseas job for this year!
it was in KL, Malaysia!
i know its not that far but i get excited with even the littlest thing.
and it was so much fun!
i got a last minute call to see if i was free to do a weekend shoot
for Disney's High School Musical 3 promo for the channel.
it was to style the 4 main Malaysian voice artistes
who did the dubbing in bahasa.
so i thought my country needs me,
Malaysia needs me, Disney needs me!
YES! I WILL DO IT!
i got all ready and flew up in less than 48 hours,
with a more than 30kg luggage!
one can never travel too prepared.
Dafi, Milla, Nana and Marsha.
never heard of them?
Mm... neither did i.
well... they are the young and one of the biggest recording artistes
from the Malaysian singing reality show Academy Fantasia!
and they were just wonderful to work with.
meet Dafi. shy yet cheeky.
even though he was the only guy in the group,
he was totally comfortable and at home with the girls.
i sensed a close family connection among them,
and honestly that is really rare in this industry.
they were sharing stories, joking and poking fun at each other.
i almost had a tear in my eye.
why can't we always be like that?!
Nana was definitely the mother hen of the group,
glowing was a newly wed bride.
and Marsha, the hyper Bunnie.
this girl needs no sugar to energize her.
and she does it all with no sleep!
then there's Milla. so small and tiny that you'd want to
just pick her up and keep her safe in your pocket!
oh... have you heard them?
these guys CAN sing!
and i thought i could sing.
well, not anymore.
i also met Lyana Dee.
the most amazing makeup artist to Milla.
she's SUPER talented and helpful!
and has gorgeous luscious hair....
she should do shampoo ads.
to cut the long story short,
i got to work with some of the finest from Malaysia and
they got to work with one of the finest from Singapore, me.
that's what work should be.
great company.
professional attitude.
fun environment.
and 1 diva.

30 days lessons
30 days lessons.
i'm not doing one of those 1 month courses,
but being so free, maybe i should have!
cooking course! that would have been fun!
Ahhh.... FOOD. Yes. No! wait! focus!
yes...
september has been a learning month for me.
what did i learn?
i've learnt to trust AND not trust.
trust that i can do whatever i put my heart into,
and not trust people who tell me otherwise.
*they can kiss my arse.
i've learnt that people DO make fun of others
and not everyone is all holy and holy.
*that kinda made me feel more real.
i learnt this simple theory;
to be famous and successful,
its not all about what you do,
its not even who you know,
its who knows you.
*its so tricky.
this is the best lesson...
don't give expecting a return.
give knowing what a difference you're making.
*simple.
and a very important lesson,
stop bitching & judging.
everyone deserves a second chance. everyone.
fine. she speaks bad english and has a off sense of style,
but to say that she doesn't deserve the title because of her recent history...
that's not fair and its really mean!
i say, "u go girl!"
*and if you don't like it, you can kiss my MISS WORLD ass!

doing what i love is... damn shiok!
whether as a makeup artiste, show producer or stylist.
and more recently as a makeup brand ambassador,
creative producer, host and personality.
...i LIKE.
i have learned to appreciate creativity and talent.
cos without one or the other, honestly i wouldn't have a job.
and i am not talking just about me.
it takes more than me to get the job done.
its the team. the people you work with. and sometimes even more.
i have been doing fashion for almost 20 years, on and off.
started when i was about 21, coordinating fashion shows and events
with Najip Ali who was my mentor and teacher.
then at 26, a good friend, Jazreel Low got me started on makeup.
its been 14 years since and i haven't looked back since!
who knew i could marry all that i learned and enjoyed
into a profession that hardly seems like work!
my passion has always been to inspire, innovate, create and educate.
in any job, project or assignment.
cos without the passion the objective is lost!
most people work, like everyday.
Mmm... i don't.
and since i am so free, i always ask myself, what's next?
what do i want to do next?
well, i want to do more. more things that i would enjoy!
like... produce new TV Shows and Programmes.
like... write plays and short stories.
like... host my own Talk Show!
and... create my own cosmetic brand!!

Mmmmm.......
so what's been happening?
Ris Low has been getting too much attention.
be it for the right reason or wrong reason...
so i'm gonna stop MY attention on her & give her a break.
maybe i should focus on the judges instead...
some people have been calling me and
asking me to work with them.
choreograph shows and events.
style shoots and commercials.
but surprisingly they don't have the budget.
more recently, after getting involved on a
commercial project, the client felt that its best
what we worked on future projects and not this one.
...seriously!?!?!!!
i believe that very opportunity leads to other opportunities.
be it to grow from or to grow into.
and sulking doesn't help.
so, i'm gonna start making some calls
and get things done!

let go and let GOD
for a while now i kept telling myself that i needed to diet.
so... i did.
the diet thingy worked for 5 days.
i know!
for someone who skipped sweets and desserts for
an entire month, healthy food was a challenge!
blame it on my food choices & my determination to a lean body.
so i started with yong tau foo, no oil for 2 days.
then it was only grilled food, no oil.
no curry.
i couldn't take it.
i. like. food. i. like. to. eat. and. i. am. always. hungry.
ALWAYS.
so why am i doing this to myself?
hiao lor.
then i realised i need not put myself thru this!
that was my problem.
problem of the flesh.
I was trying too hard.
i needed to let go and let God.
no... not eat all you want thinking
HE will keep you slim and trim.
why?
because we are all beautiful to HIM.
hello!!!
we just want to look beautiful for ourselves!
if you don't know by now,
what you put in your mouth does affect your body!
but what you put in your heart affects your spirit.
so i did just that.
i told HIM that i want a beautiful body and i love my food.
then, i ate. without the guilt or the greedy cravings.
cause that's what pulls us down and puts on the weight.
our guilt.
so eat in the right spirit!
ok, fine. the eat in the right spirit was part of a sermon i heard in church!
it better than going on a silly diet, right?
trust me, you'll feel better.

Super September!
so september is here.
and its starting be get CRRAAAZZZZZY!!
while i was resting and taking it easy in july and august,
september seems be otherwise.
for someone who's usually working like a week in a month,
its so not the case for me now.
don't get me wrong...
i LOVE what i do!
and frankly not many people can say that about their job.
so, i decided not to bitch about it and pull my pants up!
the Shiseido MAQUILLAGE Makeup Show was the start.
Hosting the weekend event and choreographing
the makeup/fashion show was a blast!
presenting the event to a LIVE crowd as such a rush.
and the response was overwhelming.
i heard that the client was happy.
now i am coordinating a shoot for Canon.
coordinating talents, wardrobe, location, etc is CRAZY!
oh. i am styling it too.
it feels like i am working out at the gym...
you won't believe the sweat!
next week, there's another 2 day shoot with LiTV.
that should be fun!
then there's the MAJOLICA MAJORCA workshop.
a weekend bridal shoot that starts at 5am.
styling a models shoot with La Perla.
New Creation Church's Mid Autumn Concert.
think there's an event in there somewhere i have to attend.

Ris Ris Please.
just when i thought i had nothing else to write about
for this month, i came across a Ris Low.
i recently added some videos on my facebook page.
you know, work videos of interviews i did during
my FASHION FORWARD days (i miss F.F.!!).
anyway, 1 friend decided to return the favour and
posted/uploaded/sent me a video of an interview
of a certain Miss Ris Low.
so... i watched.

supermodel finale
so the show is over and the results are in.
evelyn took the title of SUPERMODEL Me.TV!
a fresh faced girl from australia beat 9 others from the
region to win the 1st season of the online reality contest.
she won over $10,000 worth in prizes and
a fantastic start to a new career!
and her father was there at the finals... so sweet.
but there were other dramas that night too.
i heard...
the girls came 3 hours early for rehearsal
cos they got the wrong information.
makeup and hair was still being done till the start of the show.
dancers had their run thru just before the doors were open.
outside the guests and vips were in the wrong queue.
people came late.
judges, actually 1, came even later.
but i know that during the show
the models almost banged and walked into each other.
and male models looked better not dressed.
did you hear about the post show drama?

my supermodel experience... part 2
the final 3.
kathlene,
evelyn,
christabel.
many were surprised that tomboy kathlene and
plain jane evelyn got this far, but,
talent is talent and you can't deny that.
i remember kathlene as the most outspoken girl when
i first met her.
not the shy type. and so in your face that i think it
gave her an advantage over the other girls.
and the fact that she's only 17.
does that help?
evelyn was definitely the total opposite.
shy. soft spoken. and sometimes a bit too fragile.
but are these the best qualities for a supermodel?
then there's the crowd favourite.
vocal and strong.
experienced yet eager to learn, christabel.
Mm... too experienced?
all i know is that we have the best girls
in the top 3 and it is gonna be a difficult vote.
all the best voters!

my supermodel experience... part 1
as most of you would know by now
i've been pretty involved in the online reality show,
www.supermodelme.tv
a number of you have asked me what was it like?
working with the girls, styling them, advising them,
even working with top photographers, etc.
well, here's my supermodel experience...
10 wanna be supermodels.
imagine the drama and divaness!
fortunately, there was only 1.
and Ciara was her name.
i met the girls for the 1st time when they had
the makeover session with me.
and from the start Ciara was obviously the
' i am here to win, if not, the 1 to get
most attention in front of the camera' girl.
don't believe me?
watch her episodes and you'll know what i mean.
i then returned mid-season,
this time to style the 5 remaining girls.
remember the giant squid?
my 1st shoot with the girls but
i could already see who were the weak ones.
the outfits from ZARA were the best choice for this
submerged shoot but sadly the focus was on the squid.
and it was even sadder on set when Fiona was eliminated.
i still believe that this girl would do best in BOLLYWOOD.
it was down to the last 4.
dressed in Frederick Lee's couture gowns
under a hot sun and surrounded
by a million even hotter bangaldeshi workers on their off day!
imagine the testosterone!
this elimination was hard cos as judges we knew we were going
break one of the girls' heart and dreams at this point but we also
knew that we had a job to do.
and it was Anna's turn to head home.
to me, Anna's a top model in Malaysia and she's gonna do great!
then it was the final 3.

i heart august
wow! its august already!
how time flies!
honestly august is my favourite month of the year.
sure its the month where singapore celebrates its national day,
but its also my birthday month!
and this year my celebration started way early.
as much as most people would disagree,
i would like to think that i hardly pamper myself.
i rarely shop or indulge in buying myself anything!
really... i don't.
i don't earn a lot but with what i make,
i. love. spending. money.
my biggest splurge this year was an
early birthday present to myself.
a white gold spring coil ring from BVLGARI.
ok, fine...
there was also the 3 pairs of shoes i bought in a week.
and shopping at CLUB 21's boutiques.
but its my birthday this year (and every year!) !!
but its my 40th this year!
i should pamper myself, right?
so...
here's happy birthday to me.
*wink wink
p.s. i'm not a brand whore. seriously, ask anyone i know.

killer trainer
after a week's absence from the gym i was back in full force
for my personal training sessions with my fitness trainer, Firdaus,
who i swear is out to KILL me!
i workout everyday, 5 times a week, 1 hour sessions,
that's only because i have all the time in the world for now.
for each session he strategically prepares a routine that
targets 1 main muscle group for that day.
for the chest, there's bench-press, inclines, dips, push-ups,
free-weight press etc.
for arms, there's the bicep & triceps workouts, pull-ups/push-downs etc.
for the back, there's the lats, upper, lower and central areas to work out.
then there's the shoulder too!
but what i hate is the LEGS. i hate legs!
it bad enough that the body aches forever after each session
so imagine the legs.
not being able to support its own body weight, wobbling with
every step and almost tripping on your own toes!
leg lifts. leg curls. squats and half squats. leg press etc!
and he's evil too.
he only/always schedules leg workout on fridays.
i don't do much partying or clubbing on the weekend
but doing legs on fridays really doesn't leave me with
much programmes for the weekend!
and the pain usually carries itself thru to the following monday.
he doesn't stop to torture me, seriously.
and he knows i hate him.
i see results but i still hate him.

i lost 2kg in a week!
all because someone coughed in my face
and i fell sick right after that!

fever and cough. no flu.
for an entire week.
so what did i do...
well, i decided to skip the gym the whole week.
you can't be sick and yet try to get a good workout.
you will only end up weakening your body.
but i did get some work done.
its the least i could do.
so what am i up to now?

its a site for artistes and their fans, like facebook/blogger etc.
thousands and thousands of artistes from around the region
are on it.
a great site for artistes to platform themselves
and keep their fans updated.
well, i am now in the process of registering myself there.
and its not easy...
first i started with my blog,
then facebook.
now this.
what's next?
* will keep you updated of my new adventure on AnD.

and registered a new business for my interest in creative writing,
CREATIVE SCRIBES.
that's all... for now.

my mini... part 2
so where was i?
right... my mini!
on saturday i decided to do something i never thought
i'd ever do, at least never on my own.
to be brave!
to be courageous!
to buy computer.
i ventured into Sim Lim Square.
the one mall i knew that i would be like a fish out of its golden pond.
me. in a multi-storey shopping centre where all they sell
are things you can't eat or wear!
but i told myself that i wasn't there for a food or fashion intervention...
i'll save that for another day.
so i started walking around, strolling by each shop,
was just like window shopping in town... NOT!
here they shout out their best buys and deals to your face,
tail you around in case you pick up a flat screen 42" TV
and forget to pay on your way out.
that's very chinatown!
all i wanted was to get myself a nice, small, simple, chic computer.
and not to be ripped off!
i saw 1 that i thought was okay...
i won't mention the brand.
ok! fine... its ACER.
it was small and cost $670.
wait... the guy said if i REALLY liked it
i could have it for $650.
but he only had it in pink or white.
didn't want people to think i was carrying Barbie's purse.
next shop.
$670 and it came in black.
"..no discount even if you local..." erm.. what?!
next shop.
next shop.
too busy if you're not buying.
next shop.
best price... $600!
"..but haven't GST.. plus upgrade.. +++ best price $720.."
next shop.
next shop.
before i knew it i was on level 3
and 2 hours had passed.
i knew it had to be a new Sim Lim record!
then i saw this guy standing outside this shop.
behind him, glass shelves with cute small computers!
and the prices were displayed clearly on each one of them.
i didn't see the ACER but they had a whole lot of HP Minis!
prices ranged from $400+ to $600+
from the older models to the most current ones!
so i asked what the differences were between the different models?
"what are you using it for?" he asked.
the 1st person to actually ask me why i needed one for!
i knew i was in the RIGHT shop.
shortly after, i walked out with my very own HP Mini!
Edwin, my new best friend, who was attending to me
answered all my questions about my new notebook
and even installed new programmes in it. For FREE!
Joseph, his colleague even taught me how to use
other programes from the internet!
these guys know their stuff!
i had 1 last question, "did i get the best price?"
the answer, "Mmm... not too sure. but then again our margin is really low.
& most of our customers actually come back
because of our after service.
we provide technical support and assist whenever we can."
since saturday i have called them 3 times!
and they have always answered with a smile.
their lips must be bleeding by now.
all this for $660.
ram upgrade included.
so the next time you're walking into Sim Lim Square,
walk straight into PC Dreams, #03-55.
you'll be in good hands.

miss me?
sorry for the long absence but i was busy...
busy doing NOTHING!!!
yes! i'm done with my projects for the 1st six months
of 2009 and i'm FREE!, for now...
which also means i'm not sure what's happening next...
But! i'm not worried.
GOD will take care of everything for me... as always.
so... what have i been up to?
well, went swimming almost every day last week
so now i am darker than ever.
caught up with my friends and it was the best!
and... got myself my very 1st computer!!!

i decided that instead of talking about stars, celebrities

they are like... your good friends.

i'm an addict
hi, my name is marcus and i'm an addict.
an addict to the computer!
before i would only check my email once in a long long
while or better still, have someone else check it for me.
now, i not only check that but i also try and update
my blog and my facebook account too.
trust me, IT TAKES FOREVER!!
so what's new?
well, i just finished styling the 2nd season of SCORE.
no... its not a sports programme.
its an Arts oriented show on OKTO Channel.
its pretty good, if i say so myself.
SCORE, hosted by newbies Jibby & Fay, has
CALENDAR where you get the latest updates of what's
happening in the art scene in singapore and in
Profile, it highlights artistes, musicians, actors etc.
Battle of the Sexes is my favourite.
Jibby and Fay intern with the Masters then compete to
see who does better in the week's challenge.
from martial arts to indian dancing, they do bring
laughter to the show and a tear to my eye.
SCORE truly attracts the viewers
in a way thats never been done before but
you really have to watch it to know what i'm saying.
** SCORE is on OKTO, sundays, 9.30pm & repeats on tuesdays, 11pm.

when i first told my friends that i'd be appearing on
supermodelme.tv they said it was kinda late for
me to try my hand at modelling.
HELLO!!!
its an online reality show where 10 girls from asia
compete for the title of... SUPERMODEL!!!
and i would be 1 of the guest stylists/judge appearing
in various weeks!
ME!!
SUPERMODEL??!!!
PLEASE.
DON'T BE RUDE.
in a way, their future is in MY hands!!

did you know...
i only wear white Calvin Klein.
bet you didn't know that.
ok, fine. some of you did.
but there are so many other things you may or may not know.
like...
when i turned 30, i wanted to retire at 35.
i'm 40 this year and i want to do more!
i've never been to bali but been to brazil, twice for 2 months each!
i so want a holiday.
i don't do editorials for magazines cos they don't pay the makeup
and hair team!
they pay the models, photographers and stylists but never the beauty team.
i say its rubbish.
i hate to work with artistes who think they're a celebrity 1st.
i think they need a reality check.
i don't like dressing up...
not even in jeans or shoes.
i have over 20 pairs of shoes.
i'd love to host my own talk show and i'd call it GRILL.
i am always hungry.
i have a dog, eros.
i don't stay with him.
i go skinhead not because i want to show off my tattoos
but because i am actually balding!
i thank god that HE makes me look good.

CLICKED!
a couple of weeks ago i was heading to a client's office when
a guy stopped and asked if he could take a snap shot of me
for the ION Orchard's facebook of fashionable/stylish individuals.
well, i thought it would be a cool idea since I myself was
getting IT started & for once wasn't in my usual
berm-shorts and Tshirt getup, so why not.
so i stood there,
right in the mix of the busy sidewalk on orchard road,
the photographer CLICKED!
my 15 minutes ended in 15 seconds.
that night i rushed back home, logged onto the site and STARED.
didn't know what i was looking for.
looking... looking... still looking...
took more then just 15 seconds before i found it.
obviously, i'm wasn't on the site/page yet.
i just wanted to know more...
like the stylish, fashionable thingy that was mentioned, you know.
Ahhh... that's what he meant by stylish, fashionable.

i have a life.
this body took time, personal endurance and lots of nagging to
get where it is today.
yes... i workout.
ok fine.. maybe not workout workout, but i do my best.
or at least i pretend to.
i usually try to hit the gym about 2 to 3 times a week.
so in a way the gym has become like a second home to me.
i am super comfortable there and i DO know all the staff.
since i'm almost ALWAYS there,
i've come to notice a few things.
at FITNESS FIRST Platinum Clubs, they provide your workout attire,
so thats good.
what's bad is when a member who clearly looks like a
player from the New Zealand, ALL BLACKS rugby team
asks for a size small shorts and medium top.
i don't get it.
some women come in with full makeup on, workout for hours
then leave with the same full made-up face!
don't they shower or at least wash their face?
i don't get it.
have you seen the ones who are all geared up, head to toe,
wristband, headband, knee guard etc just to workout on
the cross-trainer machine for like 10 minutes, then go and swim.
i don't get it.
then there are those who are strictly there to make a fashion statement.
like, wearing sunglasses while on the treadmill.
how about the PAIRS.
they come together, hog a particular machine together,
take turns to workout on it, in between their hot gossip session.
this one really gets to me...
members who use towels as mats.
how hard is it to sit on the bench in the changing room
and then dry or clean your feet with the towel?
must they lay the towel on the floor, stomp all over it, get changed,
then stomp all over again but this time with their shoes on.
don't they know they just might be getting that same towel
on their returning visit?
i really don't get it.
**sigh
i can honestly go on and on and on... but i won't. i have a life.

its all about the buzz.
ok... the buzz has already begun...

i'm now IT savvy. and i've been invited to the PC Show @ Suntec
this weekend... No, not by the organizers, though that would be nice
but its actually my friends.
they were being nice.
maybe the vendors read my blog, recognise me and graciously GIVE
me a computer and a digital camera... maybe.
the buzz about Supermodelme.TV
an online reality show where 10 girls from around asia are housed
together, compete in different challenges for the title of
asia's 1st supermodel or something like that...
trust me, its good. i guest on it, week to week.

the buzz about bad fashion...
fine. its not a buzz. its just me.
and i don't get it.
is the look for this season hoods/hoddies?!
cos thats all i see people wearing in town!
don't they get the weather in singapore!
and don't even get me started on WHITE LOAFERS.
that style came & left and didn't even know it wasn't wanted!

the ORIGINAL IT idiot
i LOVE this whole blog thing!
seriously! its amazing!
whoever came up with this should be paid like a gazillion bucks!
now, as most of you would know, i am the original IT Idiot.
nene created my 1st email address for me in 2004 only because
he knew what a retard i was with computers.
and up to late last year i actually had people check my emails for me.
i even had them do my e-invoices and billings cos
thats how bad i am with computers!
and speaking of computer... now, please prepare yourselves..
i do not own a computer.
i am using nene's old laptop, one that he left behind when
he returned to brazil.
so from a guy who was totally clueless about the WORLDWIDEWEB,
i am now like a kid in a candy store when it comes to my blog!
DJ Zach installed the visitors bar code on this site yesterday,
so now i know the number of guests who dropped by. so exciting!
and i am, honestly, very surprised at the number of visits
there's been in a day! WOW!! ( i know, i'm easily impressed. )
i am still learning about how to use the blog.
stuff like downloading, uploading, sideloading,
i don't know what other kind of loading there is, etc.
some of you have asked that there be pictures too,
Mmm... i am not ready for that yet.
for now i really like it that its more like a newsletter
rather than a pictorial site. also...
i do not own a camera.

BEST BUYS
this is definitely my NEW favourite shop!
who knew that perfumes could actually be affordable!
ok, let me share my new find with you...
its this regular looking perfume shop that
has all, and i mean ALL the leading brands and
some not so leading names...
you walk in and are greeted by these young muslim girls
and the lady boss who keeps saying, "got discount on top of price,"
so i started walking around staring at the display shelves.
curious, i randomly asked for the price of DAVIDOFF's COOL WATER,
answer... "$35".
my jaw dropped!
35 freaking dollars! SERIOUSLY!?!
so i did what any other normal singaporeans would do,
i said," i'll take that and DAVIDOFF's ADVENTURE and KENZO."
total bill... "$120".
ok... i've not been totally honest,
you see, these perfumes are actually sample pieces.
they are original products, just sample pieces.
but if you want to buy the ORIGINAL ORIGINAL ones,
they cost just a few dollars more than the samples. still!
imagine the savings!
imagine the collection one can have!
i've already started mine!
so the next time you want to smell good or
know of someone who smells,
you might want to visit,

hey elisha
where do i start...
its been a week since my last post and alot has happened.
...did an amazing shoot with photographer Olivier Henry
on sunday with an interesting crowd.
...met up with Esan from HOODS INC to discuss about
possible future projects.
but what really took me by surprise was the call i got from my
agent, Chris.
earlier this year i had the honor of producing and choreographing
the official opening of NIKE's flagship store/boutique at
Wisma Atrium. and we had 10 of the hottest models for the
fashion show!
if you think getting 10 models to fit the look of the show
was easy... YOU ARE SO WRONG!!!
we wanted models who had character, edgy attitude,
street smart style, non anorexic and full of energy!
so after long weeks of castings & auditions we found
our perfect 10.
and one of them was Elisha.
i first met Elisha late last year at
Jazreel Low's bridal fashion show.
he was the 1st model to arrive for rehearsal.
polite. that was my first impression of him.
then, i bumped into him at NUH where i was visiting my mom in January.
i almost didn't recognise him with his hair longer.
but i remembered that polite smile.
and to my surprise he remembered my name.
we spoke briefly, sharing that he too was visiting his father there.
i asked him then to audition for the NIKE event knowing
he would be perfect for the show.
well, how do i say this... he came. he conquered.
the show was a huge success!
the clients were so pleased that the models were
given all the outfits they wore for the show!
my perfect 10 models.
...so imagine my surprise.
i did not believe it.
chris wasn't sure himself, looked like him, but... is it?
then i saw it for myself...

so... it begins.
when i told my friends that i wanted to start my
very own blog, the response was... SUPPORTIVE.
they asked what will i be talking about?
what can readers and followers expect?
i said, "EVERYTHING!"
being a makeup artist, i will talk about makeup,
share makeup tips & introduce new looks.
and update you on what's happening with
me as the Brand Ambassador of MAJOLICA MAJORCA (MJ).
as a fashion stylist, i will keep you IN THE KNOW of
what's NOW and what's NOT!
and when i am producing Fashion Shows or Events,

its been a crazy week so far and i am totally exhausted!

event happening in the same day!!
